Please. We'll have the best named class with him added as well.

The internal dialogue in my head of wondering, “I wonder why we’re so much more appealing to high profile transfers than high profile high school recruits. Well you moron, high school players want to go where they can win - transfers want to go where they can play. So it’s obviously because your team just fucking sucks.” Is slightly depressing.

Also NIL from a desperate fanbase

Also, transfers have been through the recruiting process at least once so some of the marketing/sales tactics are less likely to work on them.

The things they value are going to be different and I think are more in Nebraska's favor for transfers.

Well shit

It's wild times, supposedly players are supposed to report NIL deals to their schools. If that happens I don't know, we're only years away now from the NCAA not being a part of big time college football at all so they have no teeth.

Elliott also talked about how under the table money does still happen as well. Paying kids not to take visits. Buying an "expensive hunting lease" from someone and it's actually just their backyard but that was a legitimate way to get a kid money.
Bitcoin was being used also as it wasn't trackable. Alabama was giving players/recruits Pre-Paid Credit Cards in denominations of $9,999 because anything $10,000 or over needed to be reported by the banks. No way of really tracking. They could pull cash out at ATM's or buy stuff with it, anonymously. Gone are the days of Car Dealers with a Fly Ride for the family, McDonalds Bag full of cash or a high paying job for dad/mom being the main option for greasing a family .

That doesn't work. 10k has to be reported. Guarantee every 9,999 is also reported. Banks will also watch for 5k cash today and 5k tomorrow.

Plus nobody is reporting John Booster buying a 10k prepaid card anywhere. Assuming John Booster is putting money on a prepaid card straight from his bank account. Nobody cares about why you're putting 10k on a prepaid card except NCAA. The govt only cares where that 10k of cash is coming from.

In the U.S., for example, a bank must notify FinCEN, the bureau of the Treasury that deals with financial intelligence and AML, if a customer carries out a transaction or series of transactions of more than $10,000 in cash.

Don't shoot the messenger. Maybe laws have changed but they were doing this for a while. I got the shady recruiting info from a few different sources. Including a mutual friend of ours whose kids played football with some Alabama Transfers. One Alabama Transfer asked his new teammates who he was supposed to go to in order to get the Pre-Paid Debit Cards. He was shocked to find out the players & their families weren't greased with those.

The bank cares where the $10k he put on the card came from, they don't care what he does with the $10k on the card
