I saw shanties on lake Flanagan over a week ago. I don’t ice fish but thought it has to be way too early for this

There are (were?) some spots that are perfectly safe if you're careful. Depends on the lake. I got out yesterday on 4.5". Didn't catch shit though lol

Where abouts?

I’m west of Sioux Falls, but my son works for GFP at a state park North of Brookings. I fish the Glacial Lakes primarily.
