Oh I'm not zeroing on Raiola. Satt gotta go, but Raiola has been bad in big ten play too. A lot of his mistakes and bad plays aren't really things you can pin on the OC iwbh
I actually thought you were @Herbie

I don’t disagree with that isolated take. My bad, homie.

Don't want to be too negative because the team outplayed literally everyone's expectations

With that said, this was a Scott Frost game. Play a great team close, have several opportunities to win, utterly poop our pants when the game is on the line. Good effort, but ultimately, more of the same monkey we can't get off our back

Bingo.
Satt isnt forcing to make Raiola check down 75% of the passes, only throw touch passes when firing it in is what’s needed, or make him scared to throw it 10+ yards down field

Why. He can’t be the ultra-hyped savior of Nebraska football and then miss badly when throwing to wide open receivers. I don’t care if he is a freshman or not. Missing guys open by 5 to 10 yards is inexcusable.

I'm not going to say DR has played well for a while now. I am going to say that a good portion of these missed passes are not all on DR. A lot are, but not all of them or close to it. Receivers are not finishing routes, DR throws to spots like a QB is supposed to do. But yes, he has gotten shook and struggled, also.

Very much worth mentioning, is our OC consistently puts DR and the offense behind the sticks or in bad situations. It has wreaked havoc and killed the confidence for all our offensive skill players. Terrible OC play calling is the biggest reason for most of this shit happening on offense.

There is blame to go around, but a shit OC is at the top of the list. Has done a true frosh QB and a group of mostly new receivers NO favors. Running game is bland and easily sniffed out, putting all the pressure back on DR and receivers to move chains and score.

He’s a true freshman and he’s playing well for a true freshman. He can definitely improve but today was a pretty good game for him.

If we finish the year strong, I will look backward and moral victory this game into exponential offseason hype.

If we finish the year poop, it is just another L

Raiola plays scared 80% of the game while passing.
When he doesn’t play scared he turns it over at a high clip

He's clearly a good player and has the potential to be great, but has struggled bigly in b10 play. Was good today at times and bad at other times. A competent OC would help him greatly. Not sure GT is that guy either though.

That’s fair. I’m with you and not sure about GT. Go hire the best and other people here have much better ideas of who the best would be.

Too bad Satt doesn't have a good seasoned QB with playing experience. Instead, he has a true freshman that is playing better than most would. It's fine to cry about not having an experienced older QB on the team. Wild to single out the guy who is exceeding most expectations and being made to throw the ball way more than he should. His use is on his play caller. The results are pretty in line with a kid fresh out of highschool leading an offense.

Raiola is absolutely not exceeding expectations.
He’s averaging 5 yards per attempts. The only thing that’s really changed is they are passing it more for about the same net average
