Husker fans got into the trap of thinking that we were just a good QB away from being a 9-10 win type of team. Now that we have a good QB and still suck, heads are exploding
I think that's true short term. I think getting a good qb and keeping him 🙏 can turn you into a 9-10 win team by itself. Just have to get some more pieces around him.

Feel like he started missing on more throws after Illinois too - I’d be surprised if he wasn’t nursing something.
I don’t know if there’s any truth to it. Just saw someone post it on Rivals. He claimed to know someone on team

Stay racist and homophobic central and western Nebraska, you’re doing the state proud!

I understand that and briefly felt joyous hope. After we took the lead in the 4th qtr my wife said “oh now you have hope? I thought you said this would be a blowout” And then I realized that we won no matter the outcome due to my low expectations
Going in, my threshold for an acceptable performance would be if we could somehow start the 4th Q down 14. That would at least be a game.

So the fact that we were winning with 6:46 left in the 4th - you have to say that's a big win. Not a real W - but hugely positive that our guys manned up. I was worried they wouldn't.

Felt worse that we actually had a shot than if we just lost by 9 or whatever
For me, I knew there was 100000000% chance that we could not and would not win that game.

So I actually thought it was awesome we were up w 6 min left in the 4th. I actually went for a run when OSU had the ball - bc I knew it was a lock that they would score then. I was following the score on my watch like yep there it is 21-17.

So honestly it wasn't excruciating for me bc I knew we could not win anyway. The script writers (B1G / refs) wouldn't allow it. It was like an entertaining WWE match where you know the end outcome but enjoy the entertainment anyway.

Anyone hearing about shoulder issue with Dylan? Someone on Rivals claiming it was injured in Illinois game and will need surgery at end of season.
It's either one of two things: it's an arm injury OR Dylan has hit a mental block.

He's not throwing or even looking downfield like he was in first 4 games. He's also not throwing or looking for high difficulty mid range opportunities like he was in first 4 games. Part of what made Dylan great was he was fearless and almost arrogant with where he would throw the ball. And he'd make the throws. That's arrogance/skill that 99% of college QBs don't have. When you remove that, he's just like any other QB. He really hasn't had any moments since the Illinois game where the TV guys were like "that's why he's an elite QB talent!!" Everything he's done since that game has been about average level for a good college QB. What he was attempting in first 4 games were elite future NFL star level throws.

If it's a shoulder injury, hopefully it's not a serious one. I just happened to see this clip from Carson Palmer where he said he injured his AC joint trying to make a tackle rookie year and his shoulder legitimately was never the same.

However if it's truly just a mental block, we've seen freshmen QBs hit that and never get it back (2AM). If he's hit that, hopefully he can regain some of that confidence/arrogance he had in the beginning of the season. Because that guy was a killer. This guy is a nice, about avg college QB. I'd like to re-find the arrogant QB.

I think mental. He seemed to be on target yesterday when he had to get rid of ball quick and didn't have to think. Noticeable the ball had more zip as well unlike the balls he lofted towards his targets.
