Jesus, guys. Cockeye didn’t win because of some perceived pregame slight. They didn’t come out motivated. They were dominated all night.

We fucked up. We made the mistakes. They barely did a thing right all night except clean up after our fuckups.
That’s been the case since Bo left for the most part.

I Think thats what pisses me off the most. They dont even have to play mediocre to win. They can play shitty and wait for us to lose.

You literally cherry-picked stats. No other CFB player has stats from the easier parts of the schedule thrown out.

And you are the one making stupid claims, bending 20 ways like a pretzel trying to make one player, a true frosh QB, look worse than he was.

And why throw out the Holgs games?? Could you not see the HUGE difference in how the offense ran overall vs the Shitterfield games? Wanna cherry-pick stats? Compare the Shitterfield games MINUS the "easy" games he OC'd (first 3rd of the schedule), then compare those stats to the 3 games Holgs called as OC. I mean, that would actually make SOME sense, so we could compare the real biggest issue of the offense - a beyond horrible OC who held the entire offense back, had opposing DC's laughing their asses off how easy he was to read, and putting way more heat and pressure on a true frosh QB to "save the day".
I left holgs games in when I did his big 10 only stats.

The stupid stats were when I avg outs holgd stats over an entire season.
When you compare entire big 10 vs holgs only his stats didn’t change much at all. Raiola wasn’t the reason for the better offensive play those games.
The emergence of the running game was key. As well as the rythm of the play calling.
Raiola was virtually the same qb

Jesus. Of course the run game works better when defenses don't know almost every play that is coming before the snap. Running game, passing game, overall all the plays were called and schemed and synced SO much better with Holgs. Of course every part of the offense will look better when a good OC is calling the plays. Of course having a running game that is now working fairly well takes some pressure off of the passing game to carry all the weight.

Look, DR needs to improve. Once he got the jitters, and the rest of the team started folding too, he played way worse. But if you don't see talent, and a lot of innate good QB game to the kid, then you never will. Good luck on pining for 'anyone' else to play QB for the Huskers. Woe is that player once they do, as they better be Lamar Jackson heisman stats or that QB sucks fucking ass.

Per Black Flash 41, Raiola had the best game of his career against WiscyDicks and attributes the better offense production to Raiola. You should be banned for idiocy.

For @tman87
Raiola big 10 games with sat vs holgs

Sat
117/192, 1251 yards, 5 tds, 7 ints
Holgs
77/108, 674 yards, 2 tds, 2 int

Avg
Comp% - 61 v 71 — advantage Holgs
YPA - 6.5 v 6.2 — advantage Sat
TD/game - .83 v .67 — advantage sat
Int/game - 1.4 v .67 — advatange holgs
Ypg - 179 v 224 — advantage holgs

Holgs could get a slight edge out of getting more from him. But overall effectiveness per pass play is relatively the same.

Now a lot can change over an off season and holgs could turn him around. But at the same time holgs made the offense better in spite of Raiola being virtually the same player. His play calling just created more plays and extended drives with the emergence of RBs playing being schemed into the game better

You still don't get it.

Yes, the Holgs stats for DR are obviously better than the Satt stats for DR. THE ENTIRE OFFENSE WAS WORKING BETTER.

But as the post above referenced how much better DR was getting the ball to the right place percentage wise with Holgs calling plays - which is also gonna happen when the ENTIRE OFFENSE WAS FLOWING AND WORKING BETTER.

An OC who puts a horrible play calling performanc on the field every single game that is so telegraphed even arm-chair fans can see it - that OC is putting not only the entire offense in spots to fail and not succeed, but ESPECIALLY it is putting a true frosh QB in far too many situations to fail.

Seasons, especially for true frosh QB's, don't progress on a straight line upward. The learning curve can and will take dips. But that learning curve was made so much tougher because of a shitty OC that put the entire offense in situations to fail.... over and over.

Yes the WiscyDicks game was his best individual performance of the year. He played great. But before we go thumping our chest over it remember it’s the 29th(after removing G6 opponents) best individual performance by a big 10 qb this season. Hopefully it’s a sign of things to come and not a fluke.

This is a fact.

They made two plays all game.

We truly ought to have won this game by double digits.

how many of those 28 better performances were by a true freshman QB?

I realize the handshake had nothing to do with the outcome. But it’s indicative of our mental state going into this game.

You’re grasping at straws.

We physically dominated that trash ass Cockeye team for all but 2 plays the entire game. They have the best running back in the conference and 3 downs to score from the 2 and they went backwards because we physically hammered them.

If we’re going to play that well up front in games we don’t shake hands in I think we should do it every week.

And how many of them were with an OC in his 3rd week being with the program?
I don’t give a fuck about excuses. We’ve been making them up for a decade to convince ourselves it will get better soon.
Produce actual sustained results.

Until then you are what your stats say you are

You could say that about more Nebraska losses than any team in history, not even hyperbole. Why does it continue to happen?
This team shrinks unlike anything we’ve ever seen. They’ve played like they hear people laughing at them for years. Don’t understand how this is anything other than a distraction for an easily distracted team
