He played like a true FR. I was disappointed with how he appeared to regress midseason, but if we can keep DH he'll at least have a competent offense and better development.

If you isolate out Holgorsen impact over 12 games his stats looks like this. Yes I know impact could change more with a year of impact with him. But there’s been a lot of buzz over how the offense looks. Raiola has been a minimal part of that.

He’s a freshman on a team that hasn’t been go a bowl game in 8 years. There was no run threat until Dana took over and the WR room was below average this year. He’s going to have growing pains and there wasn’t anyone on that side of the ball to help mitigate that. I do think he needs to work with a different QB coach to get him away from the Mahomes mechanics he uses too much.

It’s weird that we are talking about an Cockeye program that we know are full of assholes and nobody here thinks there could be anything more to the story than we just wouldn’t shake their hands.

It’s idiotic. But it shows Holgs impact has really been a direct correlation to Raiola playing better.
Offense runs smoother, and has a better play calling rhythm. But the biggest impact he’s brought is the emergence of a decent run game.

I think what’s honestly infuriating to me is that while Nebraska has deficiencies it’s not like Cockeye doesn’t have deficiencies as well. I mean they had 5 fucking first downs the entire game and went 0/10 on third down and somehow won the football game. Their offense was the worst unit out of all 6 units in the game tonight and they somehow overcome that because we routinely just cough the ball up in the worst possible ways.
Like respectfully, how the fuck does Cockeye keep winning 7-8 games annually doing this? It really shouldn’t even be possible to win with this bad of an offense in 2024, let alone win 8+ games. It’s beyond crazy and makes no statistical sense. I really just can’t comprehend it.

I’m rambling and talking to myself but honestly it just goes to show you how fucking important holding onto the football is. Getting opportune turnovers can make up for a whole litany of issues - we unfortunately despite the fantastic defensive play tonight didn’t force any TOs and there you go. Just beyond crazy.
