I feel like he was lower on people’s HC radars for the 3 years he was an OC at Alabama and New England. He was also pretty far removed from his last HC job in College at PSU. So most the premier jobs were chasing hotter names but he’s always been a good HC.
For me personally I think he's a very good coach but ADs like to hire dudes they can fantasize about being there for 20 years even though that never happens anymore

Spoiler: grew up a BC fan, family in the area and I think his family has stayed in Boston in recent years while he's been elsewhere, son has a rare brain disorder so being in Boston is great for them medically
The son health stuff is 99% of the reason he’s there. He had other offers

Duke holds on 4th down and wins the game.

Turrible.

I think so. Michigan has a great defense but their offense is nothing like last season's (particularly at QB) and I think this is the first game where they feel the loss of Harbaugh.

Can’t spell sucks without KSU down 14-3.
I've only seen a small sample size of Avery Johnson but the few times I have tuned in I don't see a reflection of the hype. At the very least I don't see him as that much of an improvement over Will Howard.

I could be wrong on that defense. TX is not having any problems thus far, running or passing.

I think Michigan misses their DC from last year too.
