Official 2024 Nebraska Cardiac Beaver Slayers Baseball Thread (40-22)

doesn’t look like we are gonna win this one

In other news; the weekday undefeated champs, sweater vest wearing, Chardonnay sipping, American Spirit smoking bluegays are 2 Xavier wins in their next 7 conference games away from being eliminated from the Big East tournament.

Xavier won today. Gays are 1 Xavier win in their next 6 conference games away from being eliminated from the BE tournament.

Disappointing. Not one B10 series sweep this year, right? And a losing record midweek. Jabroni’s of the highest order.

As of today
Nebraska is 7-2 (.7778) w/ 3 game TBD
Illinois is 6-2 (.750) w/ 4 games TBD
Purdue is 6-5 (.5455) w/ 1 game TBD

Purdue is fucked with a 3 team tie with the current standings.

Like opponents

v Cockeye
Nebraska 2-1
Illinois TBD (next weekend @ home)
Purdue 1-2

v Ohio State
Nebraska 2-1
Illinois 1-1 with 1 TBD (Sunday May 5)
Purdue 1-2

Northwestern
Nebraska 3-0
Illinois 3-0
Purdue 3-0

Indiana
Nebraska TBD (next weekend at home)
Illinois 2-1
Purdue 1-1 w/ 1 TBD (Sunday May 5)

The question is, is it B1G conference games only or does Illinois playing Michigan State in the non-conference count? They played each other 1 time in South Carolina. I believe it's B1G games only otherwise that'll put a wrench in to things (Purdue is 3-0 v Sparty & we have 3 TBD v Sparty)

Purdue is eliminated if they end up in a 3-way tie with Nebraska & Illinois...

Nebraska 7-2 with 3 games TBD (this weekend at home v Indiana)
Illinois 7-2 with 3 games TBD (this weekend at home v Cockeye)
Purdue is 6-6 therefore eliminated.

I'll update this again after the upcoming weekend.
