Official 2024 Nebraska Cardiac Beaver Slayers Baseball Thread (40-22)

Is overall record the tiebreaker here?

Win% trumps all, not wins. They play Illinois the last series of the season, at home, and that's not good for us. They'll not play a game if it gives them the title.

In 2022, last game of regular season, they kept the tarp on the field the entire day and refused to play. No a drop of rain. Because of that, they finished 7th in the B1G. Had they played and lost, they wouldn't of made the B1G tournament. Oh, and they played a total of 3 less conference games (21 instead of 24) due to *cough* weather. Coincidentally, all 3 at home.

Greg Goff is a bitch.

the best info i could find, not sure if this is still true, and i can't view the rest of the webpage

That's correct.

That seems like a fuckin chore to figure out

Typing it out takes longer 😁

As of today
Nebraska is 7-2 (.7778) w/ 3 game TBD
Illinois is 6-2 (.750) w/ 4 games TBD
Purdue is 6-5 (.5455) w/ 1 game TBD

Purdue is fucked with a 3 team tie with the current standings.

Like opponents

v Cockeye
Nebraska 2-1
Illinois TBD (next weekend @ home)
Purdue 1-2

v Ohio State
Nebraska 2-1
Illinois 1-1 with 1 TBD (Sunday May 5)
Purdue 1-2

Northwestern
Nebraska 3-0
Illinois 3-0
Purdue 3-0

Indiana
Nebraska TBD (next weekend at home)
Illinois 2-1
Purdue 1-1 w/ 1 TBD (Sunday May 5)

The question is, is it B1G conference games only or does Illinois playing Michigan State in the non-conference count? They played each other 1 time in South Carolina. I believe it's B1G games only otherwise that'll put a wrench in to things (Purdue is 3-0 v Sparty & we have 3 TBD v Sparty)
