Bryson's uncle is on ON3. He said Nebraska cooled. Here was his post:

B was NOT processed but we definitely cooled - clearly - Rhule doesn’t recruit much during season McGuire so screwed up from failing performance that he’s “not right” but no doubt the tone and energy of his recruitment changed

communication went from daily and you can play for us right now and you are NFL bound to infrequent lame half hearted texts - how are you - see you soon etc.

Mozee (son and dad) clearly has had an impact on recruiting direction Dad in that he wants his type of guys. Son in that they paid him to flip him + hired his dad which didn’t sit well with B and family and Garrett’s negative reaction to their questions was telling

DR never even said hello to B - let alone actively participated in his recruitment - then probably the straw that broke… he and his brother and the staff went in on the smaller slower more tan version of B that’s committed to Louisville and doesn’t even want to visit us lol.

meanwhile KU is putting together videos - mashing up Grimm and Bryson telling him he is “slotted” to immediately replace Grimm in their offense plus PR from the jump - raised his NIL package and have never stopped pressing and coming since he broke their hearts 6 months ago or whatever.

B made this decision on his own without pressure from family or parents. He was getting the feeling that NU wasn’t in love with him. Also, he doesn’t want to redshirt or sit anywhere. Thats his choice and in todays portal environment why go sit behind players making more money with higher profiles when you can go P4 and be an immediate impact player.

so - not “processed” and they weren’t pulling his offer but they were cold shouldering him for sure.

It’e basically the same thing NU did with Mozee. Don’t fool yourselves. Ducks kept recruiting his position. Have several recruits and depth ahead of him and we still had to hire his dad and pay him to get him to flip

i get it it’s big boy football. NU has to do what they think is best. If they would have continued to show him the love they did at first he would have NEVER flipped. I’m obviously biased, but I believe this one will be lamented as a big misstake over the next few years.

Everything we despise about our current WR room’s lack are B’s strengths.
- break away speed
- explosive tackle breaking (yac)
- ability to create separation
- catching in traffic
- adjusting early to ball flight

list goes on but I get it, and I’m just the crazy uncle.

ultimately, from the families perspective, this is all part of Bryson‘s journey and when it’s all said and done, it’s gonna be one heck of a story. This husker fan is disappointed with the staffs choices, but extremely excited to watch his nephew Ball out up the road in Lawrence.

I guess I’m going to be a different kind of Jaysker.

In all fairness to the kid, the team had a total passing yardage of less than 290 yards after 5 games (1-4) because the QB was terrible. They went with a different QB and have had 655 yards passing in the last 3 games. Hayes has had 271 yards receiving in those 3 games. The second leading receiver on the team has 111 yards compared to his 425 for the season.

That's fair. But I'd also expect a D1 bound kid to step up a bit more there. He didnt really get involved in the run game much either and his return yards aren't much to look at. Generally when i look at Supreme athletes like that in smaller areas like this, i want to see more Carter Nelson, Connor Booth type results.
