Many college coaching jobs have been ruined by picking and sticking with the wrong QB. Good news for Rhule is he only has a year or two tops with Sims. But what an absolutely colossal screw up.

If Sims is on the roster next year Rhule should be whacked.

Thats true but it seems like in the past 20 years we haven’t really figured out that side of the ball. We have put together some decent defenses in that time.

Personally, I think it’s much easier to find an OC who runs a system that works than it is a DC that can stop big ten offenses. With the tempo you have to deal with as well as the RPOs and the rules being in their favor defense is tough to play.

I think the hardest thing to do is develop consistent quality offensive line play year after year. I’m still a believer in that we will be back when the offensive line is back. I also get the coordinator is part of scheming to the strength of the offensive line.

Rhule fucked up the OL, OC, and TE hires for sure. WR and RB hires looking like ass rn too.

Didn’t account for Wager. Obviously that hasn’t aged well, but I just can’t make that determination considering how bade the OL and QB have been.

I'm not saying he 100 percent has to be fired but as we have seen the last 10 years of Nebraska football, hitching your wagon to a terrible QB has ended in the same exact way!! Tell me is there a QB in this roster that start or plays for another BIG team beside NW? The answer is no. And there isn't a savior on the bench or a savior recruit or transfer coming in. We've seen this movie before.

There are definitely things I don’t like so far about Sat’s scheme. I don’t understand calling some of the timing motion plays when we clearly weren’t executing them well. I’m also not sure where some of the easier RPO reads for Sims have been.

But everything we do is severely limited by QB play so who knows!

If sims is just locking on dudes in the pass game. Shit RPO 2nd and 3rd level. He threw those well enough in the spring. Haven’t seen many at all yet.

Defense was excellent, until they had to spend the amount of time they did on the field.

Penalties and turnovers destroyed us. Have to be better.

I realize we are Nebraska fans and this a board…and the irrational spiral in game two is fun to watch.
