Next year will go 1 of 2 ways..

I’m glad that you’re so great and your opinion clearly changes so much about the team.

Please tell me. Which one of my individual opinions has you so upset with me? Truly I wanna work on it and be as good and as smart as you some day!
Nice, your faggotry is reaching new bounds. I'm not looking shit up. You could basically go back to Colorado year 2 on RRS onward to get many views about your terrible takes about this staff . Good luck trying to find something you've been right about in regards to performance. At least tfly agreed with you, so you've been in good company.

To be clear I'm not actually joining a Tone train that involves ugly chubby girls. It was just a play on words kind of train.

I’m very sorry you’re upset with me. It hurts me a lot that you are. I didn’t realize that my opinions made you so upset. Did you ever think to maybe not read my posts? Sorry if you were forced to. It just seems that you’ve been reading what I type for so long and it’s made you so upset that I don’t know why you’d continue to do something that upset you so much.

I’m sorry that you were forced to read my posts for 3 full football seasons. I don’t remember ever interacting with you during that time.

I believe this - it’s incredible to me that a coach can win 3 games in year 5 and be safe, but that’s the reality of the situation when it’s a Nebraskan at the helm. Nebraska deserves to be bad.

I think that’s about when they started renegotiating his contract. You don’t just start and end those talks in a day with multiple parties involved. They likely started talking about that through the bye week.

I also think Turd expected him at that time to get to 6 wins and a bowl game. You had Minnesota, Purdue, tOSU, Wisconsin, and Cockeye left at that time.

we are close. havent been this close since 1999. those are facts.
This team would have been lucky to beat Pelini or Solich’s worst teams. Two of the Callahan’s teams would have whooped their ass too. Frost would get outcoached by all three of those guys.

thats the worst take you could ever have.

9-4 in 2016. Lost 62-3 to Ohio State.
9-4 in 2014 Lost 59-28 to Wisconsin
10-4 in 2012 Lost 63-38 to Ohio State 70-31 to Wisconsin
no
The worst take was when you said this is the closest we have been since 1999. When you can only win one BIG game and you know the team will choke when it matters it’s one of the most laughable comments I’ve read in awhile. Maybe it’s a troll.

It’s fair to say that this is the first time in a very long time that we were in every game.

At some point, “close” doesn’t matter. You either get it done or you don’t regardless of circumstance.

The path of least resistance that doesn’t require us to go into rebuilding mode again is that Frost makes some very quality hires to fill the open spots and we win games next year. That’s the path I think we all want. But I suppose we’ll have to see this time next year.
Not sure what that has to do with people preferring being 3-9 to 9-3.

Taking the path of least resistance instead of doing what's right (firing Frost in this case) rarely leads to a desirable outcome. It's lazy and only prolongs suffering.

I'd also say that since we're sitting at 3-9 with the best team this HC will ever have, that "close" doesn't matter anymore.

Looks like the 2021 schedule will have 5 teams on it that will win 10 games.

OU
Michigan
Michigan St
Ohio St
Cockeyes

8 bowl teams were on the schedule.
No one would be bitching if we took care of the teams we should have . There is no reason we couldn’t have beat Illinois, Minnesota or Purdue and stole one of the others. We can complain about the schedule all we want but somehow a team like Purdue can make a bowl with less talent and their schedule wasn’t much easier.

I’m not disagreeing with you. All you had to do this year, as I’ve put it with my friends, is make your lay ups and grab one nobody expected you to and you win 8. We got 3. I don’t think beating Illinois, Purdue, Minnesota, and Michigan St was too tall of a task as those 3 are clearly less talented than you are. Then all you gotta do is get 1 of OU, Michigan, tOSU, Wisconsin, and Cockeye.

Take your best swing in the bowl game and who knows? You may fuck around and get to 9 wins. A mark this team was 100% talented enough to get to.

As I said, I don’t disagree with you. It is fair to discuss the schedule as a stand alone topic without any implication.

This is why all the “we’re close” and hard schedule discussion is completely bogus. That would have been a reasonable discussion at 6 wins - it’s not at all at 3.

(It also frankly should have been a discussion topic in 2007 more so than this year but Callahan isn’t a Nebraskan so….).

This is why I can’t buy we are that close. I know there is a fine line between winning and losing games in this conference, but we always implode. The thing that kept us in games this year was a solid defense. I don’t see it being the case next year. Yesterday was a Microcosm of the Frost tenure. With any other Husker coach I would have been shocked how we lost that game, but with a Frost coached team it was just a shrug of the shoulders type moment.

Exactly. Frost’s brand IS close losses. 5 of 8 losses in year 1 were by one score. 4 of 7 in year 2. 3 of 5 in year 3.

He simply loses more than he wins and often the final score is close. 2021 didn’t represent anything new, other than there were even more losses.
