See, I think prospective coaches would hear that and think. "You had that with Solich. You had that with Pelini. Callahan even had his moments."Competing to win the big ten west every season. Not necessarily winning it, but hanging in the 8-4, 9-3 range with late season games actually having consequences, like for instance, if we run out to 6-0 and get up to #2, we have something to blow late in the year. But being competitive at the top of the division isn't an unreasonable expectation in this festering asshole of a division.
It wasn't good enough then. Why should I(a prospective coach) believe it is going to be good enough now?
