Because big Omaha boosters of Husker football are exclusively Pickle Smoochers basketball donors. They aint giving to Nebraska bball. That's one reason.

We've been told 1890 and the Peeds have tons of money. (could be bs) My question would be, how much influence does 1890 and/or the Peeds have the decisions to allocate what goes where? Does the university have a say? I know they're separate but I don't get how it works.

I think 1890 has a lot of cash (with a lot of help from the Peeds) but I think we fall in the trap of underestimating how expensive it is to fund a winning football program to the level our fan base expects it to be. I don't think there's much left over for basketball in comparison to other universities with larger alumni networks and more cash.

He's a transplant. Was in Arizona prior to moving to Kearney
