Nebrasketball Coaching Hot Board

The key to Miles being in a good spot with the in-state kids was Michael Lewis, who is now the head coach at Ball State.

Fred passed off all recruiting to Abdelmassih for the first 3 years. Trusted him to have carpe blanche over roster construction. That man was never at practice. He didn’t do jack shit during games. His job was to be a bag man and get guys to Lincoln. Abdelmassih rescinded the offers that Chucky and Hunter had from Nebraska, and even at one point went on The Ticket in Lincoln and said something to the extent of “kids from here aren’t good enough. We have bigger goals.”

Abdelmassih then tried to get back in with both of them when it was beyond too late. To the point where he went to Bellevue East, not Bellevue West and asked if he could talk to Chucky Hepburn.

100% factual. All of it.

Lewis a great coach...he has struggled a bit as of late, but I know a lot of the IU alums would love him to take over the Hoosiers.
