Nebrasketball 2024-25 Roster Ins/Outs

Washut:

"Just confirmed with 2025 four-star center Tommy Ahneman that he has locked in an official visit to Nebraska.

The 6-11 native of Fargo, N.D., will return to Lincoln on Sept. 20-22. He was just on campus for an unofficial visit on Monday, June 17.

Sounds this week’s trip couldn’t have gone much better, which was why Ahneman wasted no time setting up a return visit to NU.

“I really enjoyed it,” he told me.

Ahneman told me he also has an official set with Minnesota on Aug. 29. He recently announced his transfer from West Fargo (N.D.) to Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Ahneman also plays for the Minnesota-based Howard Pulley AAU program. Northwestern, Pickle Smoochers, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame are other teams involved."

I’ve always found it strange when players a Jr. or Sr. or III or IV or whatever with their last name on the back of their jersey. The suffix is not part of the last name. It’s the first name that makes you a junior or the third, etc.
True but no one calls someone for example John Jr Doe or John IV Doe. It’s always, John Doe IV
