This was passed on to me this morning from our KSR site. Ryan Lemond is Dane Key's godfather and co-host of the KSR radio show with Matt Jones.

He hinted on the radio that Dane Key news is coming today. He said it’s down to Georgia, Illinois, and Nebraska.

Lemond said Illinois remains in the running because the WR coach was the same one at South Carolina when Carolina recruited him. Nebraska’s draw is quarterback play and facilities. Dane's girlfriend evidently attends Georgia.

Admittedly they have just been internet rumors, but those same rumors say Key is N and I'm not sure I want to risk not believing them

I'm not sure we want a starting OLB as I bet we want McGahee in that role for 2 more seasons. And I think we're done with the DL if we can keep what we've got. My gut tells me that the people we've been bringing in were asking for more PT and $ than we want to offer at this point hence them moving on.



P.S. I have some of my own predictions on people who leave. For example, Parrott nor Ochoa are gone that I know of. Just making some additional cuts to manage us down to 105.
