This is where not having Wright hurts. He’s our best cover LB.

I feel like I'm the only Nebraska fan or media member who realizes Javin Wright has started 2 career games in 5 years at Nebraska.

On the flipside, Gbayor is about to make his 6th career start since Rhule's arrival.

Now, I agree Wright is better in coverage. But some folks from our fanbase and some media coverage has created a narrative about Wright's absence that's not necessarily steeped in fact.

Steve Sipple was acting like Nebraska lost the combination of Lavonte David and Mike Brown.

Just win the fucking game
^^^ This. 1,000 times this. I don't care how it looks, I don't care about the stats.

I want to say something like 63-7 Nebraska or 56-14 Nebraska but we all know that Rhule will put our backups in the game by the 4th quarter in order to get them reps, so it will probably be something like 42-7

I don't care to predict, I don't care what the score is. We need to win. If it really is different this time - we will win. If not......

I think that is why I am so emotionally invested in it. I trust our staff, I trust our guys, and on paper this is a win. How many on paper wins have we lost in the last 10 years?

Prove it to us Matt, and you'll have a whole god damned State of believers.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only Nebraska fan who realizes Javin Wright was the second leading tackler on the team last season. There's a fact to steep in. So not only is he our best in coverage, but he was one of our two most productive defensive players last year as far as tackles go, behind only Gifford. Not sure why you're placing more emphasis on starts as an indicator of value for a defensive player more than, say, tackles.

Changing my prediction.
38-17

Dowdell goes for over 100 with 2 TDs. EJ will also go for 100 yards rushing. Ty gets 2.5 sacks, one of them being a strip sack that Sherman houses.

Sip was pushing hard for Run the Damn Ball Guy on the Happer Show a minute ago. Said go with Dowdell and basically beat them down over 4 quarters, toss in a mix of the others. DR uses play action to his advantage all night long. I love it

Based Sipple. Rhule should strongly consider bringing him on staff as an analyst

That's correct. Punish them in the middle. Say fuck you, we're gonna fuck you up on the line w the running game. All day.

Then have Dylan drop it over the top like Brook did to Eric Alford in 94

We need to RUN THE DAMN BALL
In the second half

In the first half DR15 murders them and we go up 35-0

Then in the second half our committee of running backs runs for 250+ yards to bleed the clock

How is everyone feeling over here? Butterflies?

Balls still making heat?

Scared, confident, nervous, excited, everything man. This games could tell us if we're finally turning a corner or if we'll keep getting shit on by CFB fans at large. Lots of big time recruits in town could make a really great impression and really jump start things or we'll embarrass ourselves once again. Going to be fun!

NU CU game has received top billing by a lot of outlets. Amazing considering the other game is top 10 bluebloods UT/MICH.

Also interesting that this is a FOX podcast and FOX doesn't even have the NU CU game.

We didn’t really get any of the speedsters vertical vs utep did they? Guessing by design?
