Watching this Duke vs Northwestern game reminds me of the recent Husker years. I would describe it as sloppy desperation. The way we played last week is on a different level than this...and while it's entertaining, it's fucking terrible.

I don't want to jump the gun and say that Dylan is the for sure answer but he fucking feels like it. Last week we saw a composed team and a captain steering the ship. It's not just Dylan, Rhule and the rest of the coaching staff did a great job of fixing the stupid mistakes we used to make. We fucking fumbled in the red zone...any Nebraska team from the last what, 5-6 years would have fallen apart after that. I don't remember which defensive player was mentioned by Rhule, but he said he was walking over to the D huddle and one of the players told him "Don't worry about it coach, we got it" and they went on to get the safety.

This team believes in itself and, most importantly, it believes in each other. We aren't trying to play hero ball to make up for mistakes. This team is solid if it just keeps its composure. Rhule talked about keeping a stoic attitude in the recent Chasing 3 and he's 100% right. Getting excited and trying too hard is what fucked us in the past...because they put so much into trying to fix the error that they made more errors and the snowballed.

I wasn't thrilled about the Rhule hire when it happened but he looks like the perfect hire.

I'm not jumping the gun and saying we're going to the playoffs or anything but we have a massive fucking recruiting weekend and we have a freshman QB who walked out the tunnel last week wanting to take on all of the hype that Memorial was giving him and he looks the part. This game carries a lot of weight and I'm feeling really good about it.

Tomorrow is going to be a crazy game. Check out this clip from Will Compton on BWTB, I totally get how he's feeling. We don't need to hype up Raiola or any other part of our team. The train is on the tracks and we just need to get on while it's gaining momentum.

Tomorrow I think it's going to be a close, shootout of a game through about 2.5 or 3 quarters but...we are going to run the ball and our O-line strength is in the middle. It's going to be fitting that it's going to be like what Nebraska used to do. We are going to have 40+ minutes of possession and wear their defense down with the run and the line pushing people around. And my god, if we get their D-line to be on a knee and huffing when Sapp is their D-line coach, it will be cathartic.

To end my drunken homer post, we are winning this fucking game by at least 10, fuck the spread. Go Big Red, let's shut these pricks up for the next decade.

Cheers, brothers

I am just here for a catastrophic outcome. Hopefully for Prime Slime.
Chernobyl meltdown that would occur here would be highly entertaining if the unthinkable happens but it won't, and bleeding Ralphie's carcas out and setting fire to it on the 50 yd line in the post-game celebration will suffice as a preferable alternative...BTW props on the Sgt Hartman avatar.

The chaos and desperation are gone.

Loved what White said pregame, I think it was in the Chasing 3 but not sure. He was reminding the players to have a disciplined sideline, that the level of detail and organization that we have. Everybody is focused on the task at hand and where they are suppose to be, whether they are in the game or on the sideline. Control and composure then violence and physicality.

Hmm you mean the chaos and confusion of the previous staff on the sidelines isn't the way to go? Color me shocked.

Listen I’ve been “5-7 until proven otherwise” for about 8 years now. But I’m talking myself into letting me believe again.

38-24 DONU.

Having said that, I won’t be shocked if we lose by 20 just cuz that’s what I’m used to.

Here's a great palette cleanser. Michigan fan blog. Has Nebraska winning and says game could be over in the 3rd Q.

I've watched a million of these this week and I haven't seen a single person nationally call for a Nebraska blowout. Every single other one says it's a 7 pt or less game.

This guy watched a surprising amount of Nebraska gamesast yr it sounds like.

Your boy might have called it!! GBR

I'm counting it. Colorado's qb quit. He was sacked a whole bunch. The D was pretty legit and made Sanders get rid of the ball fast which is something he never really did last year. Y'all had Hunter angry and yelling at Sanders. They didn't talk smack this year before the game cause they knew it was coming. I loved the aggression of 1st half, but smart to back off with a freshman qb1 and not let Buffs back into game. DR had a couple passes that would have been picked off by a better team, but he had some gems and some luck as well. Great and fun game.

I see esteemed poster @Jim14510 has beat me to the punch here but I've spent time going through the thread to collect great predictions so I'm gonna by golly post them.
I'll be happy if it's a win. Even 1 pt. I will be happiest if Shadildo and/or Shilo dies.
Best we could do is break shilos arm and make shadildo go cry in the locker room before the game even ended. Still p good in my books.

This game kind of reminds me of the 94 game when Kordell was a Heisman hopeful. Big Red ass-rammed them all day, and Kordell felt the pain! Score was only 24-7 but they broke the Puffs will that day! I'll go with the same score, and hopefully the whole Slanders family gets what Kordell got! GBR
P good post.

I’ll eat dog shit out of a solo cup if we hold them to 7 points
You were thiiiiiiis close to finding a solo cup to eat your dog shit from

Then again -21, that's big, I'm thinking 10 to 20 point win for us.
Good call on the spread. I'll be reaching out for more betting advice.

In the first half DR15 murders them and we go up 35-0

Then in the second half our committee of running backs runs for 250+ yards to bleed the clock.
If only
