Rex Guthrie ideally is the first to enter. I can’t watch him play any longer

Macgillicuddyakz played 11 games this last year as a soph. Seems like he was progressing reasonably well as a rotational guy, although you're gonna lose some of those types every year.

Seemed to me he was on track to be a starter or compete to start next year, like it used to be. I don’t know that losing someone we brought in from HS and spent three years developing is a good thing. Unless Wade worked with him for three weeks and decided he’s a waste of effort.

I would bet the farm Geep is cleaning up the OL room.

Didn’t he come in and we tried him at DL. Then switched him back to OL this year.

I always thought his high school tape was great but the competition in SD probably wasn’t the best. IIRC he was a late flip for NDSU or something.

They need a bigger impact than he can provide next year
Thats great but we do need 2nd and 3rd string guys as well, and the better they are the better it is for us. Some of you guys want to throw away the entire roster, buy 22 high cost players and hope to god we dont have a single injury.

I think he was a DL commit originally, and the coaches decided he was better suited to OL?

Agree on the HS film, but it almost always looks great when it’s kids from rural Nebraska, Kansas, or the Dakota’s. They’ve got D1 bodies and they’re beating the dog out of kids who’ll be working at Walmart the next fall.

He’s oline now right?
At a certain point you’ve tried him out at a few spots and none have obviously worked

There are about 7-10 main dudes I'm hoping don't portal. Maybe another 15-20 that I would strongly prefer to keep most of.

I hate the new roster rules and losing younger guys who are developing & still on track to be significant contributors as upperclassmen, but pragmatically, I'm now reduced to "that sucks but oh well" when anyone who isn't going to be a high impact starter in the next year or 2 moves on.

Overall talent in CFB will dip the next few years if they don’t figure this out.
