Sign Up Now!I give him credit and a slap on the back for changes like this. Almost every coach makes mistakes like this, probably the majority don't own them. The fact that he adjusts and makes the tough changes is evidence to me that we hired the right guy.I look at those hires as fixes that needed to be made by not hiring the right people to begin with. I'm happy he made the switch and didn't dig his heels in but those issues were ones that he created himself. I'm not a slap you on the back, good job guy for fixing a problem that you created.
Let it be known that even if we had Ohio State’s roster from last year I would still predict 5 wins.I was kind of chastised by a lot of our fans when I stated the 2023 team would be a 4 or 5 win team. It was fairly obvious that they still had a bunch of holes when Rhule took over. And I was absolutely positive that Jeff Sims was terrible. But I do understand what Rhule thought he could do with Sims. He knew the pass catchers on the roster were garbage and finding a QB who could run the ball 15 times per game was the best pathway to 6 wins. But not even Rhule could predict the absurdity of Sims fumbling 1 out of every 7 plays.
And then last year, when everyone was claiming this team would be 7-0 going into Ohio State, many fans couldn't believe what the hell I was talking about when I said they would be a 6 or 7 win team. I felt like Raiola was going to hit a freshmen wall at some point, 5-star or not. I knew Neyor and Banks were a step up from 2023, but still not tough enough matchups to help out the freshman QB.
So I have to chuckle now that so many fans are skeptical about the progression of the program. I feel like many of the same fans who couldn't see the forest through the trees the last two seasons are now still just looking at the tree line.
This is an 8 or 9 win team. If they can prove that their new kicker, punter, and long snapper are actually good, this team might be able to crack 10 wins.
How did I know it was going to be Sip 🤣. One winning season in eight years and we are heading for the playoffs.

Agree. How many times have any of us as professionals had to adapt, admit mistakes and become better versions of ourselves.I give him credit and a slap on the back for changes like this. Accurate self evaluation and corrective action, could be the most important skills to have.I give him credit and a slap on the back for changes like this. Rhule himself has said punter is a done deal, just not announced yet. I don't know where we're going to find a Big Ten DT this summer.Although I suspect we'll pick up a DT and Punter this summer.
Better get on the hype train now bitches
Hard to believe it’s the best conference when your only competitive teams are OSU, Pedo State (sometimes), Oregon and then maybe one other at times, ie. MeatChickenI don't think we will. Probably win 8 or 9, with a ceiling of ten.
This is probably the best conference in the country right now. Urban Meyer said a couple days ago trhe B1G had passed up the SEC. 8 wins (a winning conference record) is almost a sure top 25 rating. Conference is likely to have 7 top 25 teams. Had close to 30% of the NFL draft choices a few weeks ago. Almost every team has been spending money. A lot of the top coaching staffs in the country are in the B1G.
There aren't any gimmes in the B1G, at least no games you can label that way now. You might be able to do it with hindsight at the end of the season. It is too easy to flip rosters now to pick gimmes based on past performance and roster losses.
An 8-win season is actually a much bigger deal than it used to be. It might be like being an 11 game winner in the NFL
I agree 6 would be a major disappointment. But not big enough to get Rhule fired.
Well having 3-4 top 10 teams, plus having the national champion both of the last two years, gives the Big Ten a pretty credible claimHard to believe it’s the best conference when your only competitive teams are OSU, Pedo State (sometimes), Oregon and then maybe one other at times, ie. MeatChicken

I'm not sure there's ever a yes response to that question....so do I dust off the buttchug? Or no?
