Can't stand the guy. We played against him when I was in HS and then he was coaching at Doane when I was at Wesleyan. Guy knows how to win HS basketball games but goddamn he seems like a fucking prick.

Has now won 60 games in a row at Auburn after the win over Pierce today.....third longest streak in state history.

His entire staff is intense on the bench and they coach the heck out of their teams

Yeah, I grew up in Beatrice but didn’t play high school basketball. Frankly his system wears on you and I had a lot more fun playing indoor soccer instead. There is a lot to his system that you can copy though. Specifically having your assistant coaches, or guys who played for you, start coaching at the youth level so that kids grow up playing your system.

We have a coach in my division that’s pretty similar. His name is Frank Ostanik and he used to coach D2 University of Alaska @ Fairbanks.

He was a nice enough guy but terrible teacher. He used to just watch film all day and assign group projects.

I've heard him comment that he makes his practices very tough on his players
