I wonder if there's a reason more athletes are having these injuries. Does it come from doing to much at an early age? The shoes, the floor? Just seems like it is more common now.
I agree. I've actually had this same conversation wondering why it seems to be happening so often now. Especially with how far athletic training, equipment, research, etc. have all come

Season is too long for one, but biggest change is players have to cover way more ground game-to-game with modern spacing

But it's not just an NBA issue. Hell, kids are tearing acls in middle school now. Are we just doing to much with our kids now compared to 20-30 years ago? I mean my 8 year old plays soccer, baseball, flag football, basketball. Now only 1 is a travel sport, but he's so busy. Is that a leading factor of why we're seeing more of these type of injuries?
