More Frost wife intel

We are gonna all just have to wait to see how the season plays out. NU doesn't want to have to fire Frost. If we get to 5 wins (still far underachieving) and with some of the same issues end up being why, I can see Frost staying but being forced to shit-can some offensive assistants. Held, Weekend At Bernies and Austin aren't really getting it done. Lubick it is hard to say, since he doesn't actually get to call the plays like most OC's get to do. I bet our play calling and schemes and counters would be better if Frost just let Lubick do his thing, but Frost is too hard headed to give up play calling even though it is obvious he needs to. Anything less than 5 wins and I think Frost has to be gone. 5 or more wins (depending on who some of the wins are over and how some of the losses happen) and I would bet Frost stays, but with Turd and the big hitters forcing changes to Frost staff. One, we need to get Busch in as a full time assistant regardless, but that doesn't help the offensive side of the ball where I feel we are by far failing the most.

As far as talking about coaches who could/may replace Frost, we are a bit ahead of that right now, even though Frost is firmly in the hot seat. 6 weeks from now we will know a lot more and be in a position to either know we likely aren't moving on from Frost, or know we can safely now talk about HC's whom we can realistically hire who would possibly be better coaches than what we have now in Frost and Co. (that wouldn't take much to find a coaching staff who is more organized and game ready than what we have now). But still, we aren't quite there yet IMHO.

Leipold is my guy. or an SEC DC or Lane
One reason I like Leipold is that I think he would come in and wouldn't rock the boat, wouldn't get rid of the strength staff, etc. He would add some discipline to the program and attention to detail and win the games he is supposed to.

I don't want another Mike Riley situation where our S&C program goes to hell for 4 years and we look like a JV team again.

The strength staff has to go. It’s not good from what I’ve heard. Our OL has no upper body strength

I'm iffy on them at this point. But I'm inclined to think that Duval would stay here over the long term and that long term consistency with respect to S&C is a good thing.

You might not be wrong but I can’t fathom them keeping him if he doesn’t get to 6.

You think recruiting is bad now? Next year will be worse. On his current trajectory, Frost isn’t making a bowl next year either. It won’t get any easier. Just delaying the inevitable and making things harder for the next coach.

There's a ton of people out there like that guy that want Frost to stay even if he only goes 5-7. That's why I was surprised that people were chiming in here saying there wasn't.

Consistency is good but he’s gotta stop the old crap that got players injured and Boyd fired. That circuit stuff is really really dumb

I have a feeling we'll know more after Saturday and not 6 weeks. I have little confidence the offense will do anything but shit their pants throughout the Buffalo game, leave the defense on the field too long, and some dumbass ST play to either lose the game, or it be very close. You've got Coaches already talking, only having one game film and "some guesswork" to do with them. I swear if they come out with some stupid ass quote about having to throw stuff out because they didn't something unexpected, just fire them all now.

I'm tired of the terrible OL play and hearing the Vegan talk about inside zone and how they have lots of stuff they can run that isn't expensive because it's inside zone. If that's the case, then we suck at Inside Zone.

And this Nebraska fan talk of, "Well hargh de har, who we gon get if our Golden boi Scot Frost can't when, den who can do it?" Is stupid. Find a guy that runs an actual system, that can make a few adjustments during the game, actually recruits guys to his system, and holds kids accountable.

I’ve fallen behind. Is everyone mad at Tony?

I’ve made it a policy to always be friendly with the “likes to fight guy” in any group.

When shit goes down I want the first punch guy to be rolling with me.

I agree that we will probably really struggle with Buffalo if not lose.

I have no idea what the book makers are thinking tho, spread is Buffalo +14 and money line Buffalo +450.

I put 4 units on Buffalo +14 as an emotional hedge. Would have done moneyline but if we barely win it would be a double loss for me so this way if Buffalo wins or if we win but it’s close I still win and If we blowout Buffalo I just spent $200 to not be angry about Nebraska football for a week. Totally worth it.
