Suffice to say, they are in an agreed upon open marriage.

You might not be wrong but I can’t fathom them keeping him if he doesn’t get to 6.

You think recruiting is bad now? Next year will be worse. On his current trajectory, Frost isn’t making a bowl next year either. It won’t get any easier. Just delaying the inevitable and making things harder for the next coach.

I hear you on all of that. 5 wins is not good enough, and should be fire-worthy. A lot will depend on who we are beating or losing to and how we are competing in losses. Recruiting is in the dumpster, pretty much only wins or a new staff will fix it.

There's a ton of people out there like that guy that want Frost to stay even if he only goes 5-7. That's why I was surprised that people were chiming in here saying there wasn't.

If you are talking about me - I never said I want Frost here with only 5 wins. I was merely saying that NU may keep him with only 5 wins. Basically laying out scenarios. How we play this week is a measuring stick, how we play against OU is a measuring stick. All these games are measuring sticks, and if shit goes south even worse than it did against Illinois, the ship could be truly sunk really quickly on Frost/staff. I want a more than competent coaching staff who gets more out of the talent we have on the field, not a less than competent staff that struggles to develop players or have much of an organized game plan on game days. We have all seen how bad this staff has been now into year 4 (defense has made some strides but still not world beaters), so I don't think anyone would be upset moving on from Frost if he can't win more than 5 games this season. Anything less than 7 wins should have been the bar for failure, but depending on many variables, still hard to tell how Turd and NU handles things. It will play out with our performances in games. The chances that Frost and staff pull a rabbit out of the hat and turn this sinking ship around are slim.

I have a feeling we'll know more after Saturday and not 6 weeks. I have little confidence the offense will do anything but shit their pants throughout the Buffalo game, leave the defense on the field too long, and some dumbass ST play to either lose the game, or it be very close. You've got Coaches already talking, only having one game film and "some guesswork" to do with them. I swear if they come out with some stupid ass quote about having to throw stuff out because they didn't something unexpected, just fire them all now.

I'm tired of the terrible OL play and hearing the Vegan talk about inside zone and how they have lots of stuff they can run that isn't expensive because it's inside zone. If that's the case, then we suck at Inside Zone.

And this Nebraska fan talk of, "Well hargh de har, who we gon get if our Golden boi Scot Frost can't when, den who can do it?" Is stupid. Find a guy that runs an actual system, that can make a few adjustments during the game, actually recruits guys to his system, and holds kids accountable.

If we suck again Saturday against Buffalo, barely eeking out a win or even losing, the avalanche will likely snowball quickly. Crazy to say that soundly beating Buffalo is make or break, but in truth it is. How we perform in every game the rest of the season is meaningful towards the decisions Turd and NU will have to make.

So while I "want" them to perform well and put a pounding on Buffalo, past history shows that it is more likely we shit the bed instead of dominate a lesser opponent. We will know more after the game saturday.

Sad but true.

Man…the day you have to measure program success around Buffalo. Brutal.

Part of me hates to bring this thread up again but I heard a few new ones yesterday while I was at the dentist that I figured I'd share. Probably just more bullshit gossip but I thought it was funny and some new rumors that I hadn't heard before. Let me repeat: this is gossip that I am only sharing because it was shit I hadn't heard before.

Dental hygienist said that she cleans the teeth for the wife of one of the writers for either HOL or 247, she didn't know which. Anyway, she claimed that Davison is the owner of Gate 25 and that there definitely is a loft up there where the coaches would go. Hadn't heard that he owned that before. Her other claim that caught me off guard was that it wasn't a waitress or bartender that Frosty was hooking up with and knocked up, it was John Rutledge's wife and he was intentionally breaking the rules. It was understood that he was going to be let go by Frost so he broke the rules to get Frost in trouble and then told on him.

TL;DR - davison owns gate 25 and frost knocked up rutledge's wife so he went to the NCAA and McMurphy to get back at frost.
