I know them all, especially Greg. When the old man cashed in on his MicroBeef shares they went big and it's worked out well. Probably helps that he's sold thousands of acres by the square foot for ridiculous money to the ever expanding suburbs of KC at the original home yard and ground at Bucyrus KS.

I knew they were building their own packing house, can't believe it's taken this long. Them boys send 10,000 head to kill every week.

Another fun fact about the Foote's. They hedge zero cattle on the futures board. Figure if they lose on the live cattle side they'll be buying feeders back cheaper. Just unreal for a piss ant like me to fathom.

I remember when I found out that they own 100% of the cattle in their lots... amazing level of "fvck you" money.

1. Furniture store and American Legion had damage. Wife took pic from the clinic window

2. person took pic out their back window on the edge of Selden looking west

3. grain bins on Hwy 83 in town

4. Farmers taking care of business, don't need the Government

5. rural/volunteer Fire's 2nd shed

6. Center pivot right before the turn north to Oberlin and eventually the Good Life on Hwy 83

I'm none too impressed, finally got back to planting about 3 hrs prior to this round of rain. More coming tomorrow night/Thursday morning, plus chances all weekend.

I’d take some of the rain off your hands for you. Not too far northwest of you and we can’t buy a rain. Getting to the point where the wheat really needs a drink.

been picking up stuff/cleaning up all morning

eating burgers and hot dogs provided by First State Bank + chips and drinks provided by The Bank (the most Northwest Kansas thing ever is a bank that has like 8 locations and its literally just called "The Bank" cuz why be cute when you can get to the point) with the emergency response team while my wife sees patients at the clinic in town (only place in town with WIFI and is 1 of the 2 places in town with electricity)

like 15 farmers drove to town with front end loaders or bobcats and helped clean it up, shoutout @Woodrow F Call

nice and sunny out today but my son is losing his shit being stuck in the stroller for so long

I’ve done both. I’ve seen 3-4 tornados but when they get too close for comfort I’ll hit the basement.
