I'm starting to put together my trip for late June into July back to the old country. Omaha becomes stupid as far as hotels during the CWS as the average hotel price literal lee triples from June 18th-30th. So it will probably be early July which is fine as I'll get to see Omaha blow shit up on 4th of July.

I checked on rent a cars at Denver airport for 2 weeks through Costco Travel which is always the best deal. $2k for a crappy little Toyota and that doesn't include the CDW which I usually get and adds another $20-25 a day. They are out of intermediate and standard SUVs. Omaha is only marginally better but they knock off about $500 through Budget Nebraska which I've used several times in the past.

This may become a road trip although driving 1000 miles each way through the desert from L.A. is not a great way to start and end a trip. Still coming though.

hard to believe a short 5 years ago I could load lambs within miles of the Mexico boarder south of El Centro at 6am, and be sitting at mike Harper's feedlot Northeast of Greeley Colorado 10 miles by 3am the next day waiting on the help to show up at 5am.

It's a good excuse to take the southern route to the Black Hills which is something I've wanted to to do since I last did it 40 years ago. Little known fact. There is a trail behind the heads at Mt. Rushmore that's not open to the public which I climbed as an Explorer scout. It ends right on top of the presidents' heads.

I'd be happy to grab an adult beverage or a meal with any other MLPFC Bronie if you're available.

my BIL lives on the western edge of Elkhorn (near Disney alligator kid family)

that’s about as deep into hell/the city as this Cowboy likes to venture, but next time I’m there I’ll see if you or any other Swimmer wanna get a drink and show me what life is like outside the Outback
