MLPFC Shit Posting

Good morning, fellow Bronies. Today, I'm officially a "Medicare Man" as Medicare coverage begins in the month you turn 65. With the loss of our beloved Bomber, I believe that puts me as the second eldest MLPFC member behind Brony Emeritus @bbenson67. I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I'm grateful that I'm still here for this meandering online journey we've shared together.

Time to go shopping for medical supplies! But first ... pickleball. 😎

I'm feeling old myself today! Dropped off son this morning to fly out to Georgia for basic training. Now I'm moving my daughter into her dorm for the start of vball practices. Losing two in the same day.

Congrats on the empty nest?

Seriously, great to see your kids moving on to the “adulting” phase of life. Hope you’re proud of both of them!

We had our first couple calves over the last couple days. First time in over a decade we’ve calved in the lots at the place. Grass has been growing good for us the last month so once they calve we will be taking them by the load back out to pasture.
Amazing the difference a little (or 5" at once) rain can make, eh? Good luck out there, amigo.

Welcome to the club. I'm not one for giving advice but this is a topic with which I have a great deal of experience. If you can afford it, your medi-gap insurance should be a PPO which you will be required to pay a supplemental premium for and your Medicare Part D (drug coverage) should be well researched. This is one thing in your life you do not want to cheap out on.

Not all doctors are created equal and if you ever need a specialist you want that flexibility and the best coverage possible. So many all inclusive plans are little more than HMOs and you get what they give you which is pot luck.

Had a lightning strike this morning. Ripped a strip of bark off our tree (shot some of it like 100 feet away), arced to the house, blew a hole in the drywall inside and fried several electronics.

Wife and kids were home but fortunately in another part of the house. Said they could see the whole basement flash blue inside.

That's crazy how clean the strip came off.
