I was just throwing out cost effective mobile app options vs. a DTN subscription for @scotchfrost9697 to contemplate. Weather's important, but so is $$$ when you're saving up for a kick-ass deck and the requisite "deck warming" party that's sure to follow. I'm sure we're already on the soiree invite list. 😉

Also, can confirm bona fide rain here in Bennington. Huzzah!

Last 194 yearlings left for grass this morning. Ain't a better feeling in the world. I went down to Alma KS on Tuesday where half of them went earlier and the grass is coming on strong.

All the corn is in and spiking through, also a good feeling.

planted about a third of the beans and quit yesterday. Going 2" deep and it was pure dust up to damn near 3"in most spots. Been raining hard for about 20 minutes now. Ground shouldn't crust but we'll see.

All in all, I don't have a hoof to feed, tomorrow's mothers day and I'm going to enjoy it with the wife and kids. Got a small prime rib roast that's going on the pellet grill tomorrow. Stay tuned for updates

I'm an avid amateur weather junkie. Ken Siemek from 1011 KOLN was as much of an idol as Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, etc at one point in my life.

Ken Siemek from 1011 KOLN was as much of an idol as Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, etc at one point in my life.

Harry Spahn from KNOP in North Platte was one of my idols, but probably didn't rise to the level of MJ or Emmitt. When I met him in sixth grade, it was a highlight of my at least year, and probably childhood.

this can't be stated enough. I have a buddy that was known for being quite the brawler through his 20s, and was probably 6'3" and every bit of 260 and not bad weight, pretty decent shape.

He got his ass overhauled one night by a 5'8" kid that was 180 soaking wet. Not a wrestler, sports player of any kind. Kicked my buddy in the stomach so hard during the fight he shit his pants lolol
