So if Chance made it all the way to the river crossing, only to find out that he couldn’t cross, that puts him directly north of the monument where the remains were found. So maybe he started walking south at that point to try and cut across to get back to the in-laws house

I got a few potato reactions from a couple betas for having this same thought . She’s a terrible wife

I don’t know much about the situation or anything with the families but I can tell you right now if I was drunk and mad then walked away my wife wouldn’t let me leave her eye sight without knowing I was safe. I don’t know how you can be married to someone even if you’re mad and not care about their safety too. That’s what makes me feel like the family is involved but like I said I have no idea.
