Missing Lincoln man (and Chance Englebert)

Try like 60 plus miles north of the scottsbluff monument. Sioux County has very few people who live there, mostly farmers and ranchers.

If this is Chance someone dumped him there. I live just west of the monument and drive the route he supposedly walked all the time. There is no reason he would have walked up there, especially in that storm. We got like 3 inches of rain that night, it was brutal. Besides, the Monument is closed and I don't see even a severely intoxicated person making that hike in a down pour, let alone in the daylight.
from the photos i've seen it looks like the place they found him is in an elevated area that is kind of a dead end. i don't know why englebert would go up there, unless he got struck by lightning or something and was delirious. or maybe he was trying to get to a higher elevation for cell phone service

I read that when they found the body, they were using shovels. In laws probably killed him and buried him there.

Am I missing something about the in-laws? Why do we think they were involved?
Chance had an argument with his father in law and brother in law. Chance then left the in laws house on foot at about 7:30 pm. His wife asked for a death certificate a few days later while searches were still being conducted (which isn’t necessarily out of the ordinary). So people theorize that the in laws got rid of him.

I guess I knew that. That seems like a stretch.

Asking for a death certificate seems more reasonable when you have a child and I believe were a stay at home mom?

I don’t think the in laws had anything to do with it.

If he was murdered, more likely it was someone trying to rob him, killing him, then dumping the body.

His route really doesn’t make any sense

Yeah I believe they were golfing and got into an argument about his new job. Whatever his father and brother in law said pissed him off so they got into an argument. He said he wanted to go back to Wyoming. His wife refused so he got more pissed and started walking

This is what happened. I listened to a true crime podcast episode about his disappearance this past summer.

Yea don't dismiss familial ties, but that's a pretty big leap to kill an in-law over an argument. Not saying my ex-fil didn't fantasize about such.

A guy on Facebook claims the area where the remains were found was a burial place for Indian tribes. Could just be a body that appeared after years of erosion
