Have to fly to Minneapolis tomorrow. Last minute trip just there for 2 nights. Where should I eat?

$1 million. But seriously I’m not gonna be dressed well enough to go somewhere fancy. I’ll be in jeans and a pullover probably
If you're like me and this is an excuse to have a steak, I'd go here https://mannyssteakhouse.com/menu/. I'm a bone in ribeye dude, but a buddy of mine swears by the baseball steak.

If you want to do the juicy Lucy thing, I'd do Matt's. https://mattsbar.com/menu.php. Cash only as a heads up.

This is probably the best value you'll get in the Cities. I go here whenever I'm in town and it's very good. https://www.quang-restaurant.com/

Good Argentinian spot. https://www.martinarestaurant.com/menu/dinner

Japanese https://www.zenbox.com/menu

My wife and my favorite spot last time we were there https://www.spoonandstable.com/

Went to Zen Box with my brother in law last time I was up there and it was great. Pretty casual vibe as well, jeans and a pullover just fine.

Not sure where you should eat, but I have a recommendation after you eat. Try out snowshoeing. Nice, peaceful and nature-filled.

For zenbox

AN 18% SURCHARGE IS ADDED TO ALL ORDERS TO SUPPORT FAIR WAGES AND BENEFITS FOR OUR ENTIRE TEAM.

Shut like this infuriates me. It’s not as bad as trying to pass on credit card processing but come on.
Just increase your fucking prices 18% across the menu and get rid of that. I don’t need to read about inflation, livable wages, ccp surcharges. Just work it into your prices and quit being cheap. Everyone going out to eat already expects it to be expensive.

I don't mind the credit card thing as long as you sell stuff that can reasonably be paid for with cash. Gives the customer an incentive/bonus for paying with cash.

It didn’t affect my experience at all. If anything I’d choose a place like this where I know the hourly kitchen staff is positively compensated for high volume thus they have more motivation to provide top notch service.

It’s just an inherent cost of doing business. I’m the end you are going to lose more business than you keep by passing it on. Is losing a $60 ticket worth a 1.65 in processing?

I think the interchange system is fucking stupid however. Chase charging the retailer more for a high rewards credit card so chase can give them more rewards is dumb. It’s a broken system.

wouldn’t be a problem if we had fewer shitty tippers.

I get the way you're looking at it but can you not see the other way? The charge is the cost of business but gives you the choice to pay cash and save that cost. You'd pay the same price with a card for whatever it is you're getting whether or not they offer the cash discount.
