I'm reminded of a sitcom episode I saw years ago (Herman's Head, if any of you are old enough to remember it). There's a sexual harassment hearing and the boss character is one of the judges -- he sits down next to a woman from HR and says "It's nice to have a hot young babe like you on this sexual harassment panel."

Yeah at best she knew the relationship was getting inappropriate and did nothing to stop it, at worst she was actively pushing Mel knowing that she would benefit greatly from the following lawsuit and publicity.

The wildcard is if MSU admin/boosters were paying her under the table to get Mel into a scandal and get them out of that absurd contract.

Apparently sexually harassing a woman who has dedicated her life to victims of sexual assault in sports and sexual assault victim support and advocacy is a bad idea.

Who would have thought? Clearly an honest mistake that needed further explanation before one could be held to such a standard.

she wouldn't necessarily need to get paid by MSU or their boosters. Mel has made enough money to be an attractive target for a civil suit and he's already admitted to enough to bury him.
