Martinez Visiting K-State

If he goes to the grapes. Just erase him from Husker history. Fuck that shit box program and their shitbox fans.
Agree! Played football at a KS juco school in college and the guy's that couldn't even make that shitty team were k-state fans. Somehow they think k-state is a blue blood and always better then the teams that defeat them. Like Michigan with 5% of the win totals.

I don't know how you can look at our best offensive player leaving and not come to the conclusion that we were better off without him. Again imo
We were better off because we added Toure, Manning, a few RBs, and got some good games out of dudes like Betts and Martin. We would have been much better had Wan'Dale stayed.

Edit - I think I misunderstood your point.

I have never gotten the obsession Husker fans have with players who transfer. It’s weird really.
Agree when it’s some no-name. But when it’s someone we heard about and read about on a daily basis and someone who was the face of our program for four years it’s pretty understandable.

Frost would have probably ran Wandale into the ground if he stayed. He definitely made the right move getting out of here.

I mean if he doubled Wandale’s workload it still wouldn’t have been that crazy considering he was our best player.

2019 - averaged 7 rushing attempts per game

2020 - averaged 4 rushing attempts per game

2021 at UK - averaged 1 carry every 2 games BUT his receiving doubled. (Both receptions and yards)

Wandale def benefited but let’s not pretend Frost was treating him like Tim Beck used Burkhead/Abdullah running him like a 1970s Big 10 RB. Wandale benefitted the most by having a component coach/system/QB/OL I’m getting those receiving stats up.

He had to play runningback too much at Nebraska. Mills was the workhorse the last couple years. I think they would have ran him from the runningback position more this year because Held had no clue what he wanted to do.

His use under Frost was pretty weird. He was pretty much our goal line back and ran between the tackles way more than any slot WR should.

According to sources, former Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez is on to the next chapter of his transfer portal process. After a visit to Kansas State, the former Huskers signal caller Tuesday plans to visit Cal. From there, barring a last-second additional visit, sources indicate Martinez will discuss with his family and make his decision.

I can’t wait for him to put up ridiculous stats that in no way helps them win anything meaningful. Dude is high-fructose corn syrup, great & awful, all at the same time.
