Not really imo. As with everything I'm sure there are a diversity of opinions in the coaching community about Nebraska. There isn't a single evaluation to find. And you can't get inside Urban Meyer's or Matt Campbell's head and find out what they think about NU.

Nebraska was voted by coaches and ADs as the third hardest job in P5. I think that's exaggerated, but certainly a lot of coaches view it that way, and you're going to have to back up the truck to get someone to move for a rebuild. Most established P5 coaches are going to need the Cristobal treatment.

Do you know when this poll was taken? Because there are many recent developments that make Nebraska much more attractive than it was even 5-10 years ago.
- Expectations have been high in the past but are at absolute rock bottom right now. If a coach saw Cockeye as a "better job" because of the lower expectations there, which I suspect is the case, that is no longer valid.
- NIL is a game changer for Nebraska.
- Conference realignment - SEC and Big Ten jobs are now relatively more attractive than Big 12/Pac12/ACC jobs.

That feeds into the point. Asking the spouse of a coach about some abstract job opportunity with no concrete information isn't likely to yield an informative answer unless you're someone who has a really good relationship with them. Maybe both Campbell and his wife would laugh Turd out of the room because they're so happy in Ames. It could very well be true, but the universe of people who could actually get an honest answer about a future job is likely very small.

Yeah I can't really bring myself to care too much yet. It's not like we're going to hire Campbell tomorrow, a TON will depend on how these coaches do during the rest of the season. If he goes 10-2 or something, great! Bring him in! If he goes 6-6, he most likely won't even be in the discussion anymore. I'm gonna try not to think too much about the search and just enjoy this weird season of having zero stakes haha.

Yep me too. Just bet OU -11.5 which was crazy low to me. Zero fucks given about the rest of this year. Nebraska is completely starting over
