La Tech Game Week Thread

I’m legit when I say this, whatever lower p5 group5 offers for him to be their HC, we pay more

Tony White was by far my favorite coach hire but I still won’t be worried at all when he inevitably gets a HC gig.

Rhule seems very tied to the 3-3-5 and between the scheme and what Rhule demands from his coaches, I don’t see a scenario we could possibly get a bad DC.

I’m really biased on it though because Rocky Long’s presentation on his defense has been by far my favorite scheme-oriented coach presentation I’ve ever got the chance to see (Sean McVay was at that clinic too and had less coaches there watching which surprised me). I just really can’t see how it would fail in the Big10 west with a good hard-nosed coach leading it. If we can get 2 good years out of Coach White, I have complete confidence it will be a situation where a position coach moves up and it keeps on rolling.

Rhule thinks guys are gonna be out combining in the rain and mud? What a goddamn city boy
Duck, work with me here. I do believe there are parts of the state that will not be getting rain at game time. We likely have listeners around the world and likely on Mars as well. He has to push these boys to play come hell or high water.

I wonder how much Sims plays.

He's gonna be rusty AF when/if we start him vs Michigan.
Probably 2 series, I'd guess

If you go back to the Monday after the Colorado game the rumor was that HH would start the next two and Sims would start next against Michigan.

I think this has been the plan all along (since CU). No sense for Sims to stay banged up, they needed HH to get game experience.

Syracuse hired Long to replace White.
