Interesting - unranked August before his signing day and top 100 on signing day. Why, reading some of the posts on our board, I would have concluded that if a player was unrated in June before signing day he was a POS!

Wasn’t he an academic concern? I feel like a I remember rivals thinking that he wouldn’t qualify and therefore they didn’t have him ranked, but they acknowledged that he was very talented.

I don't think so. I think it was more that he was 5'3" 120 lbs and played at a smaller school. They didn't rank him until he came to camps.
