Welcome to The Platinum Board. We are a Nebraska Husker news source and fan community.
Sign Up Now!Poor kid has a shit bag dad that couldn't hack it as an athlete so dad is pimping him out as some big time thing. Its all just social media presence and hype. Looks to be a decent athlete for his age, but nothing special. But dad puts in a shit ton of effort to market him so he can live through him.I've never understood who this is or who he is supposed to be. Glad it's over my head.
Any NIL payments made after June 7 are subject to review under the settlement, so Wafle's are not exempt from review.Dean made a good point on his pod about that.
Schools like USC are opening up the coffers for commits so they can front load their NIL contracts before the house settlement takes effect. What happens next year when these guys all way to renegotiate their contracts and there’s not enough money to pay them (without having to go thru the clearing house).
It seems like some schools are riding with the assumption the clearinghouse will be powerless.
Not sounding too great Bob IMO.Mike Schaefer on previous OV visitors
Brian Bonner — The running back is between four teams at this time. Nebraska is in the mix along with Penn State, UCLA and Washington, which means the Huskers are going to get to see the talented Top247 ball carrier one way or another. The feeling is Nebraska isn't in the lead here at this time.
Jacob Eberhart — This defender went from Nebraska to Alabama and we're hoping for more following the visit, but of course Oklahoma has its shot this weekend as well. Missouri hosted Eberhart to begin the month. Nebraska has always been in the mix but Alabama certainly has made an impression coming in with an offer and getting the midweek visit.
Darion Jones — Talented defensive back from Omaha North has made lots of visits but it really feels like it comes down to Cockeye and Nebraska and playing with the school he grew up rooting for or the one where his brother (Donovan Jones) is at and appears to be thriving. There's a strong Cockeye sentiment but weirdly I continue to think Nebraska could take this one at the end.
Leon Noil Jr. — This lineman has been a tough read in the cycle and it's hard to know where exactly Noil falls on Nebraska's board. No prediction here, but hoping to know more following the final visit to Mississippi State.
Kelvin Obot — The big lineman would be a huge get for Nebraska but there's a consensus feeling that everyone is chasing Utah where his high school coach (Jordan Gross) starred and where Obot could be in line to play early.
Zion Robinson — Things have been really quiet at wide receiver but Nebraska bringing in this four-star talent for a midweek visit was definitely interesting. Robinson is a talented guy who seems headed out of Texas no matter where he goes. The feeling seems to be keep an eye on Stanford, but perhaps Nebraska gave him something to think about during his few days in Lincoln
Jamal Rule — Feels like this is down to Nebraska and Virginia Tech. The Huskers have a clear need for a running back in this class and got the visit this past weekend. Hokies are said to like where they're sitting though and have a clear proximity advantage though it's unclear if that really matters. Michigan State and Syracuse also involved but (for now) seem further back.
Valdin Sone — The Big Ticket took a midweek to Florida after his Nebraska visit and appears to be going to Georgia after that. Oklahoma might be on the outside looking in there. Nebraska has a terrific relationship with Sone, his family, his handler and it simply may not matter. Georgia is Georgia.
Luke Sorensen — Nebraska's remaining tight end target is set to announce on Friday and Sorensen canceled his Penn State visit immediately following his time in Lincoln and was seen on social media peer recruiting in favor of the Huskers. Permission to feel good about this one is granted.
Calvin Thomas — This is one where Nebraska might be in a better spot than anticipated following a strong visit last weekend. Thomas has traveled his whole life and the idea of living in Nebraska isn't an issue, plus Nebraska hasn't added at his position so far. There's other teams here but Nebraska might have Thomas elevated on its internal board more than anyone else.
Kasen Thomas — One of the quietest recruits that's ever existed, Thomas has been to Nebraska quite a few times, clearly thinks highly of the staff and the place and yet the Huskers feel distantly behind Cockeye and Cockeye State for a Sioux City recruit. Right now Cyclones over Cockeyes if a guess must be made.

Are we fucked?
That's funny, hasn't Georgia had a recent string of players getting put in orange jump suits?I wouldn't ever want to be associated with anyone that is locked in Orange.
