Callahan put in a prediction in the wee hours this morning for Dae'vonn Hall to Kansas St. He was there on an unofficial visit yesterday.
That would validate basically everything that's happened with his recruitment lately, which reflects well on the staff. Plus, the kid still gets to play P5.

??? kstate is light years ahead of Nebraska right now as a program. Hall is talented enough for them but not us? That makes 0 sense to me.
It wasn't a talent issue. Reading in between the lines on his recruitment, it looks like he didn't reciprocate the effort in creating a relationship with the staff. Also, sounds like he didn't enjoy being contacted so much and wasn't into the frequency of said contact. So since we weren't on the same page with him and we have others on the hook, we moved on. Sometimes it just doesn't line up.

part of that depends on how many spots either team has and who they have they think they have a very good shot on - it's not just a comparison of the programs' recent records. We may just have a sufficient number of quality candidates we like who are very interested in the spots we have. We have 6 incoming freshmen WRs. We're also likely to have 3 WRs on the field at once much less than we did with the last staff.

Probably good on Hall to go elsewhere. That’s normally worked out well for local kids.

Dude, seriously who pee'd in your Punchbowl? So much negative energy from you on posts. I thought DuckShit was a negative poster but you are gonna take his crown. If you aren't trolling you might need to find another team or take a few days off from the Keyboard because this negativity is not healthy for you or your standing on this board.

I mean look at the state of our program, it is a little difficult to be patient at this point. I don't have the energy to wait another 5 years just to get back to Pelini levels of success. I will get over at some point but ya, someone did piss in my cheerios and it is our joke of a program. Look around at other midwest schools who have just run laps around us because of our incompetence. I don't have faith that Rhule won't fall into the same traps as his predecessors.

You have every right to have doubts but why constantly rain on every other Husker Fans Parade that sees all of the positives going on? Are you that miserable that you want us all to be equally miserable? I see so many positives with what Rhule & Turd are doing. Not a quick fix but doing it the right way for the long haul. It is more than fair to express our concerns but Turd & Rhule are not Moos & Frost. They deserve the opportunity to prove themselves before fans label them incompetent or lose patience with them. The current recruiting class is ranked in the Top 25 and the players seem to love playing for these coaches. Thats a great start.

I learned early in business to surround myself with positive can do employees. And I've also learned to distance myself from complainers and negative people because they will only try to bring you down to their level of miserableness.

Always been a negative poster

I heard this guy is camping today. He is blowing up, got 8 offers (G5 and FCS) since May 5. He had a very good showing at KU's mega-camp Wednesday.

Kansas 247 coverage of him at camp (Panagos is Kansas DL coach):

Eltoum Murgus from North Kansas City had some good reps in one on ones. Jim Panagos was working with him a lot and clearly has a relationship with the player. Murgus is very thin at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds but he’s athletic off the edge. He’s picked up three FBS offers and some FCS opportunities this summer.

The 48.95 - good enough for a gold medal in a Missouri district in the 400M - is especially impressive

Sounds like he could carry a lot more weight. Be interesting to see if his name comes up today.
What happened to this guy?

***North Kansas City (Mo.) 2024 athlete Eltoum Murgus was one of the most intriguing athletes who camped at Nebraska this week. He worked out at NU’s first camp on June 4 and returned for FNL.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Murgus ran 4.52 seconds in the 40-yard dash and went 10-3 in the broad jump. On the track, he also ran 48.95 seconds in the 400-meter dash this spring. He currently holds multiple Group of Five and FCS offers. Murgus told HOL on Friday he could only watch camp because of a toe injury he suffered this past week.
