CJ was as uncommitted to us as you could be. We’ve known this was the case for a long time. The fact that it took this long made us delusional about the situation.

He committed to us when we were there top program on him. Then he blew up and started getting love from the programs he always wanted.

No one took him seriously before March. He played for an independent school in Florida's smallest school division; they were 10-0 but only ranked 43rd (!!) in the Orlando metro by MaxPreps. In late February he attended an Under Armor camp in Orlando and was outstanding; he was named the MVP of DBs at the Camp (and he tested off the charts). That's when everyone else got interested.

My guess was he also became more expensive, so that may be a silver lining given the guys we are trying to flip.

I will say no one has ever seen him play a season against good competition. That being said, I have no reason to believe he won't be a great college CB.
