Doing my very best to set my expectation as ridiculously low as possible…to the point of making shit up. So, if we are marginally successful and actually make a bowl game, it will feel like that Fiesta Bowl Natty. Leave me to my low expectations and exaggerations.
Some of my fellow baseball junkies might be able to help me out here…
But Sims always looks like he’s falling off to the left on his throws or leaning back. So he’s really not generating any power through his throw with his lower half at all. He’s all arm.

I think this is true on about half of them. It looks to me like he sometimes follows through and gets some push from his lower half when he’s identified a target early enough to get his body turned and feet set, but when he’s seeing a receiver and throwing quickly then he often doesn’t get his lower half under him and goes with a quicker release into a stiff front leg which causes him to fall back after the throw.
This is a really good game to watch Sims from this past season. If he can play like this in 2023, we will be fine. Some NFL throws in this game, even ones his WR’s didn’t help him out much
I think it also depends on if Rhule wants more of a qb run game. I could see both qbs being needed during the season. CT will likely be injured at some point.
CT is too brittle to start and finish a season of P5 football now. Arm strength is going to be a big worry with him too since the thumb and Labia injuries.

Seems like no matter who the starter is, the back ups name will be called on at some point due to an injury. Did AM ever get through a full season starting every game even?

I think the criticism of Sims footwork and balance is all very valid.
But I will say that if there's one person that can possibly fix Sims, it's Satterfield.
The dude fixed Spencer Rattler, he can fix Sims I believe.
