Now you might be asking why the hell am I posting about Jeff Sims ... aka Jeff Sins. Well, Its somewhat relevant to Brendan Sorsby, the Bearcats QB. Going back to the 2023 season, Sorsby is 1-10 in his last 11 games vs. Power 4 programs not transitioning from the G5. That means he did beat UCF and Houston, two other former American Conference programs. But if you watched those teams in the Big 12, you know they aren't close to Power Conference schools, so I'm not counting them.

Well that 1 win out of the last 11 Power conference matchups came against Arizona State when Jeff Sims had to make an emergency start. Its almost comical when you think about the fact that Sims was so bad that he caused a Playoff caliber team to lose a game to Sorsby and Cincinnati, both of whom have been consistently overmatched vs. Power conference programs.

So let's look at Jeff's career numbers. They are unbelievably awful.. LOL:

56% completion percentage for 4,914 yards with 31 TDs and 29 Interceptions
343 carries for 1442 yards with 13 rushing TDs, 16 fumbles

5,356 total yards, 44 TDs, and 45 turnovers
5-17 as a starter

Here is the most mind-blowing stat to think about:
Between the start of the 2021 season and the end of the 2024 season, Jeff Sims won only 2 games that he started.

He should go back and punch his HS coach in the face for not moving him to Safety or Linebacker 7 or 8 years ago.

Also, if you look Sorsby's total body of work between Indiana in 2023 and Cincy in 2024, he's only 2-16 vs. Power Conference opponents. That other win was an upset over Wisconsin in 2023 where the Badgers committed 2 fumbles, 10 penalties, and were without their starter Mordecai who of course finally got healthy in their bye before the Nebraska game that season.

I don’t know much, full stop.

Many of my predictions or takes have been wrong, also full stop.

However, it was painfully obvious to see that Satterfield and Jeff Sims had no business being in the spots they were in at Nebraska for the 2023 football season.

To both of their credits, they kept a low profile and never complained or blamed anyone else and for what we know they were excellent people to be around. But dear lord that year was tough to watch with our offense. And it should have been easy to see day one.

Crazy to think we would have won Rhule's first game on the road vs Minnesota with those two if not for our dumbass RB coach putting the guy struggling with fumbles in at crunch time

It is sad to see a guy that physically gifted get absolutely nothing out of it. Especially one who is by all accounts a nice guy. Hard to understand how that happens honestly.

I have to think it's all between the ears - which means I also have to think sports psychology is, much like psychology itself, a complete scam.

Written like a true energy vampire. Sad!

Didn’t know this until later but a family friend became friends with Sims when he was here. Said he was one of the nicest guys ever. He was a shit football player here but I want to see good people succeed so I hope he kills it in whatever he does in life

My grandmother, God Rest her soul, was one of the sweetest and nicest people to ever walk on this planet.

She also sucked at football.

I saw this on reddit when this tremendous human/worst QB in CFB history luckily played for DONU, but they had Jeff Sims turnovers per possession numbers calculated. 39% of Jeff Sims-led drives ended in a TO!

The way Sims fully supported HH after he got benched was genuinely pretty cool to see. Never should have come to that, but Sims did show he has really great character if nothing else.
