For what it’s worth, this guy is probably more in the developmental category and I think most of the big dogs are looking for plug and play guys to come in at a super high level right away.
Honestly anything is better than the 5th string suckfests we've gotten from UGA/OSU etc. Jacob Hood, Arik Gilbert, Tyreke Johnson, Caine Williams, etc....

Give me a young & hungry dude from a lower division over one of those losers.

Fucking On3...

"Louisville transfer" - Turns out that is Louisville/Louisville HS. Turns out that matters considering he's in the transfer portal coming from Mississippi State. Details matter you jack wagons.
It's crazy after all these years Dean is still too cheap to hire a full-time recruiting guy.

Mongo is still trying to cover recruiting, work his full-time job in Texas, find time to get Trevor's AC fixed, and help with his other son's fledgling long snapping career to be handling all the recruiting news over there.

Say what you want about Mongo, but if he produces an elite long snapper for the Skers he's A OK in my book

Probably still get scooped on his commitment.

What about Trey Palmer?
He wasn't a 5th string reject though.

He was a legit contributor (STs, some WR) who decided to move on to get his fair chance to start. And he only came here bc he had a personal relationship with our WR coach. We would have never gotten Palmer to Nebraska without that. So Palmer is an outlier.

The other guys we've gotten from OSU/Bama/UGA have all been rejects and failures. The biggest success was Stephon Wynn (Alabama) and even he was somewhat of a failure in that he way underperformed his 4* rating out of HS. And he did even less when he went to Ole Miss after leaving here.

I think your point is valid but we got way more out of MJ Sherman than Wynn.

Sorry....yes I had mentioned Sherman earlier. I consider him a W pickup. Wynn honestly was an L or neutral. He really did not impress.

Wynn was significant in that he forced a lot of NU fans to realize "oh these 3rd stringers at Bama/UGA really aren't that great." They're not good enough to start here.
