New Commit Jaylen George is N

Love it. Exactly the type of dude I want from the portal - balled out at a lower tier school & wanting to move up to the big-time, not just a bag-chaser. Multiple years left.
He'll become a bag chaser next year FWIW.

But, I largely agree that going after some of the lower level studs is the way to go until everyone else starts copying Rhule.

ETSU DL Jaylen George

Nebraska has a lot of empty seats in the defensive line room that need to be addressed. The Huskers added a critical piece to the 2025 roster with East Tennessee State defensive line transfer Jaylen George.

Here are three quick takes on the addition and what it means for the Huskers.

Nebraska adds veteran DL to room

Nebraska has a lot of experience and talent to replace from last season. Nash Hutmacher, Ty Robinson, Jimari Butler, MJ Sherman, Kai Wallin, and James Williams are gone. George started all 11 games for ETSU as a redshirt freshman.

George had 21 tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks (which was good enough for second on the team). Jaylen was also credited with five quarterback hurries.

Another versatile lineman into the mix

George can likely plan on a future playing with his hand in the dirt in Lincoln. He has the athleticism to potentially play at the three-technique and all the way out as a five-technique.

What’s interesting about George is that in high school, where he was just 20 pounds lighter, he was lined up in the two-point stance and used as a blitzing WILL linebacker.

George joins Nwaneri and there could be others

As stated before, the defensive line room has plenty of holes left by graduation and portal transfers the Huskers need to address. George appeared to be high on Nebraska’s list of possible incoming transfers based on when he visited Lincoln.

Several others could still join George and Nwaneri as portal transfers. George was in Lincoln today with Louisville defensive line transfer Gabriel Moore.

Fucking On3...

"Louisville transfer" - Turns out that is Louisville, MS/Louisville HS. Turns out that matters considering he's in the transfer portal coming from Mississippi State. Details matter you jack wagons.
