The 2023-24 college football season wrapped up Monday night. Now it’s time for schools to start hosting prospects for Junior Days, unofficial visits, and then eventually official visits in the near future.

247Sports has the latest on a top prospect and his upcoming visit plans.

Omaha (Neb.) Westside four-star linebacker Christian Jones, one of the top overall players in the class of 2025, is ready to hit the road for some recruiting visits this offseason. On Thursday, he informed 247Sports that he has two trips lined up.

On Jan. 20., the 6-3, 210-pounder will be at Nebraska to visit with Matt Rhule and the Huskers. On Jan. 27, Jones will then head to Oklahoma to hang with Brent Venables and the Sooners. Those are the only two visits he has scheduled at this time.

Regarding his recruitment, there are two Crystal Ball predictions at this time. Both have him landing with the in-state Huskers. Those picks went in back in July 2023.

Per 247Sports, Jones is the No. 84 overall player in the country. He’s the No. 13 linebacker nationally and No. 1 prospect in the state of Nebraska.

The 247Sports Composite Rankings don’t list him quite as high. He’s No. 119 overall, No. 15 at his position nationally and No. 1 overall in his home state.

As a junior, Jones totaled 69 tackles, 14 for a loss, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and an interception he returned for a touchdown. Jones led his team to a second consecutive state championship.
