Sign Up Now!You're right, because you usually put your fastest dudes in the 100 and 200. But 47.2 in the 400 is smoking, and shows he has great mental toughness and sprint endurance.Damn, that’s moving. Am I wrong to think you don’t see many elite 400 runners in college football? Seems to usually be the 100 or 200 guys.
Or is it because being an elite 100 or 200 runner translates better to football than being an elite 400 runner? You're right, because you usually put your fastest dudes in the 100 and 200. But 47.2 in the 400 is smoking, and shows he has great mental toughness and sprint endurance.
Well, yes, being fast translates to being a good football player. And as I said, teams usually put their fastest dudes in the 100 and 200. If a track team has a guy whose going to be a D1 WR/DB/RB, he's probably going to be one of the fastest guys on the team and end up running the 100 or 200 (or 110 hurdles).Or is it because being an elite 100 or 200 runner translates better to football than being an elite 400 runner?

RGIII ran 400M hurdles IIRC, so this kid is probably going to win the HeismanDamn, that’s moving. Am I wrong to think you don’t see many elite 400 runners in college football? Seems to usually be the 100 or 200 guys.
Are the days of Hudl film over? Seems like we only see the camp photos and a few seconds of drills.
