New Commit Jake Peters is N

Rhule hasn’t coached a game yet, he has a history of rebuilding shitty programs, and Nebraska hasn’t had a winning season since 2016, and yet you have whiny cunts bitching and moaning about recruits

You gonna do the whole “stars dont matter” thing are ya? We are at that stage of denial already?

Also the 2 guys you just mentioned are probably our best 2 lineman and Rhule has been singing their praises all spring.

I'm doing the whole you're annoying and continually make baseless arguments so I'm gonna reply sarcastically thing.

I really don’t know what people expect Rhule and his staff to do. They’re offering and have had highly touted recruits on campus.

I just appreciate the fact they’re not just star-chasing. Yeah, I’m skeptical that they’re not getting recruits that are the high 3-4* range, but like it’s been discussed in here and over on on3 (@Carm) a lot of these rankings are done early in the process. I think I’d rather have a late-bloomer than a kid who peaked his freshman and sophomore year of high school.

At least the guys we seem to be reaching for have verified desirable measurables. We can't say that's been the case for the last few coaching staffs.

Barta had an electronic 4.43 40 at the Cockeye State camp earlier this month. Probably faster than some of the current scholarship DBs
Last thing I’ll add to this - there are more athletes today than ever before, IMO. When I was in high school (early 2010s), seemed like maybe 2 kids on a basketball team could dunk. Now? Seems like at least a handful are.

Some of them just happen to have A+ marketing and can afford to put themselves out there and are bigger, faster, stronger way before their peers.

Don’t call me a cunt.

Don’t be such a twat. We all want to see him succeed

A lot of kids don't start becoming formidable athletes until their junior and senior years. I had a classmate who was a lowly scrub as a sophomore and as a senior was second team all-metro in basketball and state 110 hurdles champion. No one in our class would have predicted it when he was a sophomore.

To think all the top football players would be already identified by the end of their junior football season is nutty. A lot of kids are just starting up the upward curve by then.

Accepting commits from these recent camp offers seems desperate as hell. Haven’t even gotten to the know the kid or the family. Are there really no other options? I just don’t get it. Thought we were trying to compete for conference titles here.

And yet Cockeyes State didn’t offer… wonder why.

Is football a straight line speed only type of sport? When did football become track? Man you guys are enamored with 40 times.

Especially when these guys are camping alongside a bunch of in state class C guys.

Obviously they are going to stand out in a camp setting against competition like that.

The question we should be asking is how would these guys stack up in a camp setting against the top 300-400 guys nationally?

It doesn't work that way, I don't think. Most of the guys they offer they have been talking to before they show up. On top of that, Rhule's assistant, Jarret Wishon, does background checks on kids they offer:

Wishon returned to football after a long career in law enforcement. He was a special agent and criminal investigator with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives from 2014 until joining the Panthers in March of 2022. Prior to his work with the ATF, Wishon was a police detective for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for nine years from 2005 to 2014.

Rhule is pretty detailed and organized.

We have a former fbi guy doing background checks on 16-17 year olds? Wtf is he doing talking to the babysitter? Hot damn
