And underrated thing about the midwest - every other small town has a bar that you can roll into any Friday and Saturday night and get a prime rib dinner for $14.99 that beats the fuck out of any steak you'll find in the south.
Must’ve not been to said small town bars recently cause it’s more like $25-$30 now

I love all that too. Maybe even Runza, just never had. I'm a pizza snob. I love my town's best pizza, but it isn't great. Love sushi, wings (naked wit sauce on side), actually grew up with cajuns (called themselves coon asses), but yeah. I need to try Runza.
Hey buddy, come up here sometime and try a Runza, although the stadium ones are without cheese.

We love pizza, who doesn't!!, the best in Lincoln should be Ramo's. Personal favorite to Ramo's and the cream cheese pepperoni.

Ive been in Omaha briefly, but the best pizza seems to be from Copps or Mama's

Take care my friend

That's why I just do my own (I use Dean's recipe)

People say Dean’s recipe is nails. I mean, he can’t be terrible at everything right? You care to post it? I remember saying I was gonna try it years ago but never got around to it.

Hi-Way Diner in Lincoln needs some serious respect and love.

I remember my parents taking us for pancakes and we doused our pancakes in different syrups that were free to use

They have had an interior uplift, and it has become a good study spot for college students.

Fun fact, I was studying back in my college days and some drunk college kids said they recognized me from the Husker roster. I played along and mentioned coach Tom Osborne, so I played into it some more. These kids left awe struck and I was just trying to do some calculus.

I remember going to hiway diner blacked out at 3am. Shame they aren’t open 24/7 anymore

Oh man, I’d never thought of the Great Plains like a region

Now I’m half retarded so take this with a grade of slaw but I’ve always thought of the Great Plains as the west half of the Midwest. Kind of like the Great Lakes are just part of the north and not a region
I think most people would consider the plains part of the Midwest. I just think it’s lazy to make general statements about the Midwest that make it seem like Ohio and Michigan are the same as Nebraska and the Dakotas. Nebraska and the Dakotas have a lot more in common with Oklahoma and Texas than Ohio and Michigan, land and culture.

Sorry man I was trolling, I don't use that shit lol

🤣

It's just using the oven. 500 for like 30 minutes and then turning it off and leaving prime rib in there for hours. Time is based on pounds. I'm sure you can find on google. I would just put a thermometer in it and take out when it hits temp.

I've never done it. Always smoke mine. I'm sure it's fine.

You have to try a Runza at least once. Usually when I go now I get the Spicy Jack Burger. It’s so good

That’s pretty much how I’ve done it in the past. Only difference is I don’t turn the over off I just turn it down to 210 and leave it in for 2-3 hours. So basically, Dean’s recipe is just about the same as what everyone else has been doing for 50 years and Dean just claimed it for himself?

That’s so Deab…
