Is 8-4 success? What about 7-5?

7-5 was technically a success, but man, failure is determined when you don't figure out way to get back up from this season's ending.

If Rhule doesn't change and adapt after this, then yes, its a failure. If he does, then no, it won't be. But these next few weeks will be the biggest determining factor for that.

He has to make changes everywhere. If he doesn’t get how far away they are from whatever his blueprint is, then he has no chance to ever succeed here.

I don’t think it’s a failure but we’re an average to below average team that is stagnant year over year. If improvement isn’t shown next year, even with a tougher schedule, Rhule will be on the hot seat.

2023, I felt Rhule's poor game management cost us a couple wins.

2024, same.

2025, I felt the schedule was soft enough to make a splash. We ended 2-4 for a 7-5 record.

Am I out on him? Not yet, but inching closer. He has to recognize the weak links on his staff and make changes.
That’s where I’m at.

I think you're mincing two words.

Progress is a better word than success.

We go 8-4 (or especially 9-4) and it's no doubt progress.

7-5 (or worse 7-6) and it could definitely be argued no progress and a failure.

The "easy schedule" things is a little overplayed. Our schedule isn't absolutely horrible, it's just average (around #60 SoS IIRC).
Yeah much more difficult to see the progress.
