FWIW, he kept him in front of him and kept him off the QB for over 3 seconds which is longer than the average time to release the ball.

Obviously you’d prefer him to hold his ground a bit more but he did his job there.

And I doubt it would be a 1:1 situation with no help if you had a FF like Davis line up right over the center.

Yeah, I think he did fine. Davis is a freak, and you're going to get help. Watch his hops. That's a technique to slow down bullrushers from just getting overpowered. You hope to re-establish leverage to slow down the rush.
